Blackhawk (1952 B/W - 15 part movie serial) - Based on a
successful comic book that began in 1941, the Blackhawks were seven flyers who
banded together during WW II to fight the Nazis. Stars Kirk Alyn. (2

Crimson Ghost (1946 - 12 Part Serial, B/W) - A criminal mastermind
known as The Crimson Ghost is out to steal a device called the Cyclotrode,

The Man
with the Steel Whip (1954 - 12 part movie
serial) - Saloon owner Barnet (Mauritz Hugo) wants the Indian reservation land
on which he knows there is gold, and organizes a gang, aided by some renegade
Indians, to raid amd terrorize close-by settlers, hoping to arouse them to drive
off the Indians. Rancher Jerry Randall (Richard Simmons), accompanied by school
teacher Nancy Cooper (Barbara Bestar), sets out to defeat the plot. In order to
win the loyalty of the innocent tribe members, Randall masquerades as a
legendary friend of the Indians, El Latigo. (1 disc) 169 minutes
Mysterious Doctor Satan
(1940 - 15 part
Serial, B/W) - A mad scientist named Dr. Satan plots to steal key
pieces of technolgy to enable him to build an army of robots based on his
prototype to conquer America. The only one standing in his way is Bob Wayne, who
fights Satan as the enigmatic Copperhead. (267 minutes / 2 Discs)
Nyoka
and the Tigermen - AKA The Perils of
Nyoka (1942 - 15 part movie serial) - Professor Campbell's
expedition into the hills of Libya obtains a papyrus which might reveal the
hiding place of the Golden Tablets of Hippocrates, containing lost medical
secrets. Also in the region is intrepid Nyoka Gordon, still seeking her father,
lost on a previous expedition. She alone can translate the papyrus, which
directs our heroes through deadly perils (including the Tunnel of Bubbling
Death) into the land of the Tuaregs. Opposing them are Vultura, Queen of the
Desert, and her Arab ally Cassib, both greedy for the treasure. 261

Panther Girl of the Kongo (1955 - 12 part movie serial) - Jean Evans
of an international wildlife foundation has made herself at home in Africa as
the elephant-riding, vine-swinging, miniskirted 'Panther Girl.' On safari to
film animals, Jean encounters something really wild; a giant crayfish monster
(created by greedy scientist Morgan who, with his henchmen, hopes to scare
everyone out of the district, then secretly mine diamonds). Jungle perils
aplenty stand between Jean (an active, competent heroine) and her hunter friend
Larry and their goal of tracing the 'claw monster' to its source. Stars
Phyllis Coates (Lois Lane from the 50's Superman Series) 167 minutes,

The Purple Monster Strikes (1945 - 15 part
movie serial) - A Martian spacecraft crash-lands near the observatory of
Cyrus Layton, designer of Earth's first spaceship. The survivor, forerunner of
an invasion, can assume the form of any earthman. Calling himself the
"purple monster," the humanoid invader sets about gaining control of
Layton's rocket project. Opposing him is Craig Foster, former Secret Service
man, who episode by episode tries to thwart the monster's attempts to acquire
rocket components. Will Craig ever suspect that his closest associate is really
the monster? 209 minutes, B/W (1 disc)
Radar Patrol vs. Spy King (1949 - 12 part movie serial) - The
war lords of a potential enemy of the US has the spy ring, led by John Baroda,
the Spy King (John Merton) and his aide Nitra (Eve Whitney), sabotaging the
plans for a vast defense system of radar stations along the American borders.
Radar Defense Bureau operative Chris Calvert (Kirk Alyn - Superman from the
Serials!) comes to the rescue of a brilliant radar scientist, Joan Hughes (Jean
Dean), who has been kidnapped by Baroda henchmen in chapter 1 ("The Fatal
Fog"), and the two battle together before putting an end to the Spy King in
the aptly-named chapter 12, "Day of Reckoning." 167

Radio Patrol (1937 B/W - 12 part movie serial) "You can't put
telephones in automobiles" is the line that I remember! "But you can
put Radios". Exciting police action on 2 discs. A young
radio cop and a beautiful girl try to stop an international criminal gang from
getting their hands on the formula for a new bulletproof steel.
The
Shadow (1940 B/W - 15 part movie serial) - The Shadow
battles a villain known as The Black Tiger, who has the power to make himself
invisible and is trying to take over the world with his death ray. (285
minutes, 2 discs)
The Spider Returns (1941 B/W - 15 part movie serial) The evil
and masked "Gargoyle" is sabotaging all of America's industrial
plants. It is up to the Spider to save the country. (2 discs)
The Spider's Web (1938 B/W - 15 part movie serial) A crime
fighter known as The Spider battles a villain called The Octopus, who is out to
sabotage America and install his own government. (2 discs)
Spy Smasher (1942 - 12 part movie
serial) - Based on the Spy Smasher Comic Books! A truly great
war-time serial. Jack Armstrong, aka Spy Smasher, battles a Nazi villain known
as The Mask, who heads a gang of saboteurs determined to spread destruction
across America. 215 minutes, B/W (1 disc)
